I am happy to tell you that Vasco is recovering very well. Last saturday we had to take a hard desition and we had to take it very fast. It was either to put a young dog to sleep or to give him a chance to live. We had already fought for Vasco`s life before, as he was taken from the SPAPO facilities. Gastric torsion is a disease that can kill a dog in a few hours if no action is taken. Together with this, Vasco was suffering terrible pains. We could not wait until monday to bring him to surgery on working hours. It had to be on saturday afternoon or never.

As you know, our economic situation is absolutely no good, but last saturday we could only think on Vasco running happyly in the shelter only a few hours before, and on his partner Senda, whose life changed since they are together, as she was adopted being a puppy and brought back to the shelter at the same time as Vasco arrived, and they were put together and get on really well, and we just thought that we had to give him a chance, and so we did.

Now we have to afford to pay the bill, because the dogs have no money. They do not understand money issues, neither know why they are abandoned and misstreated, they only understand love and loyalty. Therefore, it is us who have to ask people for money on their behalf.

For all the above, we are very grateful to all the people who believe in us, and think that these dogs have to be helped because they are not responsable for what happens to them and they only want to live.
